Especially the Danish islands in the Baltic sea are a dream for skaters: good pavements, a very low population density and therefore only little traffic. The Danish Islands have a beautiful hilly landscape with small villages, old mansions and of course, lots of water surrounding the islands. On our inline adventure we will visit six islands and each is different. The luggage will be transported in a minivan and if you want to take a break from skating you can rest in this minivan. If you know how to brake, and you are pretty much used to 50km skatetours, than you can enjoy a fantastic time on your skates. Our inline adventure however is for recreational skaters and is not some kind of PRO activity. The participants come from several countries. Most come from Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and the UK. We hope skaters from skate nations such as the US, Singapore, Argentina & Sweden will be present themselves to us in 2008! Officially this is a skating trip, but without skates you can have a great time as well. Do you want to join us by bike? That is possible. Depending on the number of participants, we will split up into smaller groups each day, so for every speed there will be an appropriate group. Your luggage will be transported by our back-up van. Our guide will offer beverages and food at various points of the leg and he will give some advice concerning the leg and oncoming sights. Some roads are a bit hilly, so it is important that you can break well/stop quickly. In case of bad weather, it's possible to cycle. Skate-A-Round Denmark is powered by Keymove.
